NFL fans all over the world wait every single year until the new edition of EA Sports’ Madden NFL video game launches.
Obviously, the cover athlete is always a big talking point among the fans and even the media.
That’s why EA Sports has let it be known that they’ll announce the next cover athlete on Wednesday, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov.

The word around the league is that Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen will be the next edition’s cover athlete.
There’s no doubt that he would be a suitable athlete, as quarterbacks have been the main stars in the game for the past six years, with the sole exception coming in 2023, when the franchise decided to honor late NFL great John Madden.
Allen has risen to prominence and established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
He’s turned the Bills into perennial Super Bowl contenders, although they’ve yet to make it to the big game with him under center.
Of course, some fans will refer to the now-infamous Madden Curse, which states that the athlete from the cover will be doomed to poor play or major injuries.
However, Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes might as well have broken that curse, as he went on to win the Super Bowl in 2020 when he was featured on the cover, and he’s made it once again ever since.
Whatever the case, and regardless of who’s featured on the cover, the game will most likely be another massive success among football fans.
