After a Hall-of-Fame-caliber career in the NBA, superstar center Dwight Howard has taken his talents overseas to play for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan.
Obviously, this is a drastic change for Howard as he’s used to competing with the best of the best that the NBA has to offer, but after going unsigned and still having the desire to play basketball, the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year chose to head in a different direction.
Howard is one of many former NBA stars to head overseas to continue their careers as professional basketball players, and he appears to be enjoying it so far.
The one-time NBA champion recently starred in a commercial in Taiwan and received some criticism, prompting this response on Twitter by the future Hall of Famer.
In 100 years none of us will be here. Jus go live. And no more English especially if it’s negative. ✊🏾 https://t.co/xPJR0lh2Zd

These days in professional basketball, criticism happens on a daily basis, no matter what a professional athlete is doing on or off the floor.
Social media can be a very toxic environment, especially for Howard, who is no stranger to dealing with things like this and seems to approach it in a positive way, which is no easy task.
Even though Howard isn’t dominating the paint in the NBA anymore, the 37-year-old is clearly still enjoying himself and not letting the outside noise distract him from living his life overseas.
As for Howard’s basketball future, it’ll be interesting to see if he’s officially done playing in the NBA or if his playing days in Taiwan will be the last we see of the superstar center.
