The Boston Celtics couldn’t finish the job.
They fought their way back into the Eastern Conference Finals by winning three games in a row after falling into a 3-0 hole.
Joe Mazzulla’s team was on the brink of making history by becoming the first team to ever come back from that hole in the NBA playoffs, but the lights seemed to be too bright again.
And according to Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, via his podcast, that shouldn’t have come as a surprise, as that’s just who they are.
"The Boston Celtics are who we thought they were… They did not look like they were ready for the moment… All of a sudden they looked like they couldn't play basketball with their left hand again."

Green seemingly took a big shot at the Celtics by stating that they went back to being who everybody thought they were.
He believes the Celtics often fall short when the lights are bright, citing that they seem like they forget how to play with their left hand.
Green sure knows one thing or two about the Celtics, as he and the Warriors got the best of them in last year’s NBA Finals.
Things got chippy between Green and some Celtics players, so he may not have that much love for them, so one may need to take his comments with a grain of salt.
Then again, as petty as Green might sound, the Celtics do have a tendency of underperforming when they’re supposed to dominate.
Ever since Brad Stevens took over as coach and all the way to this point, it feels like the Celtics should’ve won at least one championship with this core of players, yet they just can’t seem to get over the hump.
