The Boston Celtics are — and will be — the biggest talking point in the NBA right now.
Everybody’s discussing whether they should finally break their core up and give up on the Jayson Tatum-Jaylen Brown duo once and for all.
Brown is eligible to sign a monster five-year, $295 million contract extension, and the Celtics could be looking at almost $600 million between their two best players for years to come, and that might not be the wisest idea with this new CBA.
However, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green believes the Celtics should do whatever they can to keep their core together.

Per Green, you don’t win a championship overnight, citing that Stephen Curry needed five years and LeBron James needed eight to become a champion.
Moreover, he believes that the Celtics should instead look to retool the role players around Tatum, Brown, and Marcus Smart, citing players like Otto Porter Jr., Gary Payton II, and Nemanja Bjelica for what they did for the Warriors organization.
Green thinks the Celtics shouldn’t abandon what they have and what has made them competitive all these years to begin with, urging the organization to be patient with their core.
Of course, it’ll all eventually be Brad Stevens’ decision, and we wouldn’t want to be in his shoes right now.
Whatever he decides to do, the Celtics should look like a whole different team next season, either because Brown is no longer in town or because they made it a priority to reshape the roster around their two stars.
