Drake Maye and the New England Patriots will be traveling to face Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears this weekend in a matchup of rookie quarterbacks.
Maye recently spoke in front of the New England media about competing against Williams at the NFL level.
“We were friends, and I enjoyed watching him do his thing…Looking forward to going out there and getting a chance to play the Bears,” Maye said earlier this week (via The Greg Hill Show).

Maye and Williams might be friends, but it won’t be that way on Sunday, as both are trying to get back on the winning side of things this Sunday.
The Patriots’ record is 2-7 after a tough overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans on the road last Sunday.
The Bears are now 4-4, having lost back-to-back games in brutal fashion.
One came from Jayden Daniels’ Hail Mary, and the other in a blowout against the Arizona Cardinals last week.
In terms of the individual matchup, both Maye and Williams have flashed their talent but have also experienced some rookie bumps.
Maye has had just one game with a passer rating over 90 in his rookie campaign, while Williams has not thrown a touchdown in the past two games.
A win this Sunday afternoon could be huge for the confidence of both Maye and Williams, especially considering both are trying to make a name for themselves early on in their careers.
