The 2025 NFL Draft is nearly here, and the jury is still out on where many top prospects will fall.
Take Shedeur Sanders, for instance.
At one time in the pre-draft process, Sanders was believed to be one of the best prospects in the class, someone that experts believed had the upside of being a top-two pick.
While he could still be a top pick, rumors have been spreading that Sanders could fall in the draft, perhaps to the later stages in the first round.
Analyst Daniel Jeremiah discussed this in a recent appearance on the NFL Network, pointing to the team that Sanders is likely to end up with.
“I do have the Pittsburgh Steelers taking Shedeur Sanders at this moment in time,” Jeremiah said, also indicating that if the Steelers don’t take him, he could fall out of the first round entirely.

In his mind, the Steelers make the most sense at this point, and there has been a lot of discourse that links Sanders to the team.
Falling out of the first round would have seemed unlikely for Sanders a few months ago, but at this point, anything seems possible for the polarizing QB prospect.
It will be interesting to see how teams handle Sanders on draft night, especially considering that there aren’t many top-tier quarterbacks.
Teams like the Steelers will need to decide if he’s worth a first-round selection, but when looking back at Kenny Pickett, the last QB they took in the first round, they might have reservations and look elsewhere.
