The Miami Dolphins got a huge bounce-back win over the New York Giants, but they may have lost a lot in that game.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, star rookie RB De’Von Achane suffered a major knee injury and could miss several weeks.
He’s a candidate to be placed on the Injured Reserve (IR) list, although Schefter also adds that he’s currently looking for a second opinion.
De’Von Achane is getting a second opinion today that will determine whether or not injured reserve is necessary. https://t.co/ZruBlvaK37

The 2023 third-round pick has been a sensation since making his pro debut.
Even during training camp, his demeanor and production had his teammates and staff members in awe, and it didn’t take long before he made his presence felt on the gridiron.
Despite missing time, he ranks second in rushing yards (460), trailing just Christian McCaffrey.
Also, he’s leading the NFL in yards per carry (12.1) by almost a five-yard margin.
Achane was on pace to record the highest yards-per-carry average in NFL history, and he already holds that distinction through the first five weeks of a season.
The most impressive part about this is that he didn’t even suit up in Week 1 and only got one carry in the following week.
He burst out in the Dolphins’ historic 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos with 233 total yards and four scores, and he didn’t stop from there.
Mike McDaniel’s team boasts the most explosive offense in the game right now, and while he hasn’t been around for a long time, Achane’s speed and ability to change gears have had plenty to do with that as of late.
