Fans of the Philadelphia 76ers have been trusting the process for years now and they want to see some serious results.
You can’t blame them because the team was experiencing some dark, dark times before they started to come together and rise through the ranks of the Eastern Conference.
However, the 76ers still haven’t achieved the sort of greatness that was promised and continue to fall short in the postseason.
It’s been said many times before but this year might be Philly’s.

Head coach Doc Rivers sees terrific things ahead for the 76ers, including a possible championship.
Speaking to the press during media day, Rivers said, “I believe this is the best talent I’ve had since I’ve been here. We have to learn how to become a team. I love who we are.”
That’s high praise coming from someone like Rivers but is he setting expectations too high?
Fanatical About Philly
There sure is a lot of talent on this 76ers roster.
The team is led by Joel Embiid, of course, but James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Danuel House Jr, P.J. Tucker, and others also make the team something special.
If they can come together and “become a team” like Rivers said, the Finals really aren’t out of the picture.
But it won’t be easy because the Eastern Conference is more competitive than ever before.
That means that Embiid and the rest of his crew will need to perform better than ever; there cannot be a weak link among the group.
For years now, the 76ers have been telling fans that a championship is possible.
Will they prove that this year?
