The Indianapolis Colts have had a tough time replacing Andrew Luck.
The former first-overall pick shockingly retired just before the start of the 2019 NFL season, and the revolving door hasn’t stopped banging ever since.
Jacoby Brissett, Brian Hoyer, Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger, and Nick Foles have all started games for them, which unsurprisingly hasn’t translated into a lot of success.
The Colts have had a competitive squad more often than not, yet poor QB play has shot them in the foot year in and year out.
That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see team owner Jim Irsay seemingly tip his hand about the upcoming NFL Draft, in which he hinted at the possibility of taking a quarterback.
Colts owner Jim Irsay may have tipped his team's hand, saying Indy favored an offensive coach, "Knowing we're going to have to find a young quarterback to develop." GM Chris Ballard's head whipped around as he said it.
Indy's got the fourth pick.

The Colts currently have the fourth overall pick, and there will be no shortage of talent at the position, with Brye Young, CJ Stroud, Will Levi, and Anthony Richardson likely to be up for grabs in the first round.
Most scouts believe those four young men are a can’t-miss kind of talent at the QB position, so newly-hired coach Shane Steichen might have a star in the making to work with for years to come.
The Colts stole the Philadelphia Eagles’ Offensive Coordinator the very same day they lost their Defensive Coordinator to the Arizona Cardinals’ Head Coaching position, so Nick Sirianni will have a tough time getting some prominent figures to join him in their pursuit of another trip to the Super Bowl.
As for the Colts, they might finally find the guy they’ve been craving for years now.
