The Arizona Diamondbacks did what they needed to in Game 2 of the World Series.
Entering the Fall Classic without home-field advantage, the Diamondbacks needed to steal at least one game on the road.
Arizona took Game 2 and had the lead in the ninth inning of Game 1.
There is no doubt they outplayed the Texas Rangers in the first two games.
Now they hope to do the same thing at home.
The Diamondbacks are set to host their first World Series game since 2001.
So they thought it would be cool to bring back two legends from that 2001 team to throw out the first pitch.
According to Bob Nightengale, the Diamondbacks will have Randy Johnson and Luis Gonzalez throw out the ceremonial first pitches.
Hall of Famer Randy Johnson, the 2001 World Series co-MVP, along with World Series hero Luis Gonzalez, are throwing out the ceremonial first pitches before Game 3 at Chase Field.

This was a smart move by the Diamondbacks as their fans will be fired up to see some of the team’s legends.
Arizona has played well at home in the playoffs, as they are 3-1 and are hoping to take a commanding series lead.
Game 3 will feature two polar opposite starting pitchers.
The Diamondbacks will throw Brandon Pfaadt while the Rangers are throwing Max Scherzer.
Pfaadt is a rookie while Scherzer is a proven veteran with World Series experience.
It will be interesting to see how each pitcher performs with so much on the line.
Game 3 is massive for both teams as taking the lead in any series is significant.
The Diamondbacks are hoping the two legends throwing out the first pitches can bring them some luck.
