The Philadelphia Eagles are on fire right now as they have won eight games in a row and are now alone in first place in the NFC East.
This weekend, they are set to face the Carolina Panthers at home.
For that game, the team received some good injury news as star wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) proclaimed himself ready to play in front of the Philadelphia media on Friday with three words.
“Count me in,” Smith said with a smirk.

Judging by Smith’s response, he is going to be returning to the starting lineup for the first time in a few weeks.
The two-time 1,000-yard receiver is a dangerous weapon in this Eagles offense and is very underappreciated considering he plays alongside Pro Bowl pass-catcher A.J. Brown.
Getting him back could likely help out franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts a lot and put stress on the opposing defense, which just happens to be the fourth-place Carolina Panthers this week.
A lot of eyes will be on Smith as he gets his legs under him.
The Eagles have their eyes set on more than just a playoff appearance.
They have some unfinished business left over from the Super Bowl a few years ago and are hoping to get back there this season.
If they have Smith, this offense can create a lot of havoc through the air because of the firepower that they possess.
The likely hope is that the former Heisman winner can come out of this game feeling good and healthy.
