The Phoenix Suns are still hard at work finding a new head coach after firing Mike Budenholzer back in April.
According to a report from Marc Stein, per Bright Side of the Sun, superstar Devin Booker has gotten involved in their search.
“Suns star Devin Booker has had a level of involvement with candidates in this stage of interviews, further illustrating owner Mat Ishbia’s loudly stated determination to keep Booker in place as the team’s cornerstone,” per Stein.

This news isn’t too surprising, and it shows that owner Mat Ishbia really does envision a future with Booker leading the team.
Beyond Booker, it’s not clear which other players will be with the Suns next season.
There are plenty of rumors about Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, and there is a chance both could be headed for the exits.
The Suns have apparently interviewed multiple candidates already, such as Johnnie Bryant and Jordan Ott.
But no matter who takes over the team, they will have their work cut out for them because the Suns are so far from where they are supposed to be.
With a new coach and roster changes, Booker could once again be with a totally transformed team in 2025-26.
He is the only player remaining from the squad that went all the way to the Finals and is the centerpiece of the lineup.
Booker wants to win, and his team’s front office clearly wants that too.
He wants to win so much that he is deeply involved in this process and will submit his thoughts and opinions.
It sounds like the Suns are keen to listen, showcasing just how much power the star has with his team.
