At 39 years old, Al Horford is still one of the most coveted free agents in the NBA right now.
However, there is one particular team that wants him and has been keeping an eye on him for months.
According to new reporting, Horford is still very committed to heading across the country to California.
“Al Horford plans to sign with the Warriors to become their starting center, once Jonathan Kuminga’s RFA stalemate ends,” Sidery posted on X, per Anthony Slater.

Since the start of free agency, Horford has been linked to the Warriors, but a deal for him has been stuck in the mud because of the Jonathan Kuminga drama.
However, there has recently been news about the Warriors and Kuminga finally seeing eye-to-eye on a new deal, even if it doesn’t keep him with Golden State forever.
If that can be squared away, the Warriors will start to look to other players they have been drawn to, such as Horford.
Horford being a starting center in his 19th season is quite an accomplishment, but he’s still been very beneficial and frequent for the Boston Celtics.
Last season, he put up 9.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
Horford does bring talent and plenty of experience, but there are risks with him, too.
He is injury-prone, which isn’t surprising given his age, but that puts the Warriors in a tricky spot.
If they lose him for extended amounts of time, it could severely harm their chances.
The Warriors will do everything in their power to keep him healthy all year.
Before they can do that, of course, they have to sign him, but it sounds like that could be happening soon.
