Several weeks into the 2022 NFL season, there remains a very capable free agent wide receiver on the market who is ready to sign up with a team that needs and wants his services.
That man is DeSean Jackson, who says he isn’t retired and would like to return to the league this season.
He has identified two teams he would like to play for – the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers on the IAMATHLETEpod.

If or when he suits up this season, he could be a missing piece for a team that considers itself a contender.
Jackson Can Stretch The Field
During his 14-year NFL career, Jackson has been known as one of the better deep ball threats the league has seen.
He has had five seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards, and he has also led the league in yards per reception four times.
Jackson also boasts three Pro Bowl nods, and he has plenty of playoff experience.
The Long Beach, Calif. native has had two separate stints with the Eagles, the first one starting in his rookie season when he came up big for them as they went to the NFC Championship Game.

He then returned there for the 2019 and 2020 seasons, and after starting last year with the Los Angeles Rams, he finished the schedule as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jackson’s familiarity with the Eagles and the Philly area could make him a nice fit there while giving him a shot at his first Super Bowl ring.
If he were to join the Packers, perhaps Aaron Rodgers‘ sublime skills could jump-start the 35-year-old’s production a bit, and Jackson could buttress a Packers offense that may still be adjusting to the departure of Davante Adams.
