Dennis Schroder Wants Another Chance In Los Angeles

Dennis Schroder‘s time with the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t last as long as some people expected.

The guard came to the team after a couple of promising seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder and it felt like he could be with LA for a long time.

But instead, he left after a season and averaged 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists.

Since then he’s had mostly unsuccessful stints with the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets.

But will he be returning to the Lakers?

That’s a possibility, according to Schroder himself.

He and LeBron James had a small interaction on Instagram, with Schroder suggesting that he and James might need to “run it back.”

Is this a pipe dream for Schroder or would the Lakers take a chance on him?

Back To The West Coast?

Schroder wasn’t horrible when playing for the Lakers – not by a long shot.

Sure, he was inconsistent at times but that’s a plague that’s been affecting nearly every Lakers star for a few years now.

Back when Schroder was playing for the Lakers, he wanted a contract that offered him a lot more.

He tried his luck elsewhere around the league after the Lakers refused to give him the payday he wanted.

Since then, he’s surely come back down to Earth a bit and would be willing – and required – to sign for far less than he asked a few seasons back.

But would Schroder even fit in the Lakers’ lineup?

That remains to be seen but he could definitely be a helpful and reliable guard if he’s comfortable coming off the bench.

Schroder could find redemption in Los Angeles or he could continue bouncing around the league.
