Playing under the bright lights of L.A. is not everyone’s cup of tea.
It takes a heart of stone to ignore the noisy fans of the Los Angeles Lakers following a poor performance.
D’Angelo Russell certainly experienced the two sides of being a player for the Lakers, as he was wanted out by the fanbase following an underwhelming run in the postseason.
However, Russell has certainly improved over the summer, and the results are clear during preseason games.
Speaking of the veteran guard, head coach Darvin Ham talked about Russell thriving during preseason, via Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter.
“D’Lo has been great,” Ham said.

The Lakers are currently 1-1 in the preseason as they registered their first victory of the campaign against the Brooklyn Nets.
Despite being at .500 right now, Russell has been one of the key talking points about the 17-time NBA champions in the preseason.
Russell had a solid 14 points, 1 rebound, and 6 assists against the Nets.
He was on fire from range as he shot 4/5 from the three-point line.
It’s good to see Russell get into a rhythm before the regular season begins.
Russell could be the X-factor for the Lakers in the 2023-24 season as he can be a problem for opposing teams from downtown.
As Ham mentioned, Russell is facing no issues performing well on the offensive end of the floor, at least for now.
The Lakers fanbase will hope to see this consistently from the 27-year-old during the regular season and ultimately in the playoffs if the team clinches a spot.
