D’Angelo Russell has had a busy summer for a number of reasons.
Not only did he sign a deal to move to the Dallas Mavericks, but Russell’s personal life has been developing in exciting ways, too.
Russell and his girlfriend recently announced that they are now engaged and posted multiple celebratory pictures on social media.

Russell has been with his girlfriend, Laura Ivaniukas, since the year 2020.
Laura Ivaniukas is a model, and she connected with Russell at New York Fashion Week before starting their relationship.
Since meeting, Russell and Laura Ivaniukas have had two children, a son in 2022 and a daughter in 2024.
The Canadian model has appeared in Sports Illustrated and has worked at numerous fashion events, all with the strong support of her boyfriend.
Now she and Russell are taking their bond to the next level at a very pivotal time for Russell’s career.
Since the 2022-23 season, Russell has played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, and Brooklyn Nets.
He has been hoping to find a team that will keep him on a long-term deal, but he will have to prove himself with the Mavericks.
He was brought to the team after Kyrie Irving’s injury, and is seen as a key to filling the void left by the star point guard.
When Irving returns, Russell will likely be moved to a position in the second unit, but reports have said he’s open to that idea.
Until Irving is back, Russell is going to be a central part of the team’s starting rotation.
He has a lot going on in his personal life, but Russell is focused on the 2025-26 season with his new team.
