The Minnesota Timberwolves might be one of the biggest teams in the Western Conference this season and there has been a lot of talk about the team over the last few months.
This has mostly been because of the trade that landed them Rudy Gobert from the Utah Jazz.
But there are other players on the roster who are already shining and ready to push the team forward.
D’Angelo Russell is one of them.
For years now, Russell has been an exciting and wildly entertaining guard, one of the best in the league.

He once again showed why on Wednesday night as he created an insane assist from all the way across the court.
Russell has been the real deal for years now but he might get a lot more notice and attention in 2022-23.
Minnesota’s Moment
It might be too soon for the Timberwolves to go all the way and make the NBA Finals.
But the idea of them having a strong postseason run isn’t too far-fetched at all.
Even if they hit a bunch of rough spots this year, the team will have more attention and eyes on them than they have in years.
That means that the rest of the world will be getting a good look at Russell and the rest of the team, not just Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Russell might not be as powerful or strong or big as Towns, Gobert, or Anthony Edwards but he’s just as important at times.
He has become a natural team leader and his basketball IQ has risen through the roof over the years.
Plus, he’s just a pure blast to watch a lot of the time.
