The Washington Commanders are coming off a huge comeback win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16 thanks to Jayden Daniels’ five touchdown passes, and they will look to carry that momentum into “Sunday Night Football” for a pivotal battle against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Commanders defense struggled against the Eagles and will be looking for a bounce-back performance with major reinforcements possibly on the way.

Allen has been on injured reserve since suffering a pectoral injury in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens, marking the first time since his rookie year that he has missed extended time due to injury.
Getting a force like Allen back to plug the middle of the defense is a huge swing in Washington’s direction as the team will have its hands full against Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier and one of the league’s best rushing attacks.
Allen has two sacks in six games this season after missing just three games over the prior six years, and Commanders fans will be thrilled to be getting the foundation of their defense back just before the playoffs.
Quinn and the front office reportedly had yet to decide on other injured players, but it’s looking like Allen is trending toward suiting up in Week 17.
