The Denver Broncos made a mistake by giving Russell Wilson such a huge contract before watching him play.
That may have been a previous condition to trade for him, though.
In hindsight, most QB-needy teams wouldn’t have hesitated to trade for a future Hall of Famer, especially one that seemed just one QB away from being a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
However, it seems like they’ve made him the scapegoat for all the things that have gone wrong at Mile High.
That’s why some people even believe that he doesn’t belong in the league anymore, at least not as a starter.
With that in mind, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky made sure to stand up for his colleague.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Orlovsky couldn’t fathom the fact that people actually think Russell Wilson is done.
“Russell Wilson was a top-10 quarterback performance wise for most of the season last year … And we think that he’s going to be out of the NFL?” Orlovsky said.

He stated that Wilson was a top-10 quarterback performance-wise for most of last season, and that’s despite playing several stretches without their top three receivers.
He went as far as to predict that both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons could be 11-win teams with him behind center.
We can all agree that Wilson is overpaid right now, but that doesn’t mean he’s done.
He’s always taken great care of the football and has been able to extend plays, and he’d be a significant upgrade for several teams.
