The Atlanta Falcons finally got their quarterback.
Shortly after free agency started, they signed Kirk Cousins to a four-year deal worth a whopping $180 million.
Cousins is now on pace to surpass $400 million in career earnings, which is way more than one would expect from a quarterback with a 1-4 record in the playoffs.
However, despite his well-documented struggles in primetime and against winning teams, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky believes the Atlanta Falcons are now a legitimate player in the NFC South Division.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Orlovsky put the world on notice about Drake London and how he’s about to break out with Cousins throwing him the football.
“Drake London, you are going to hear that name become household,” Orlovsky said.

He argued that the Falcons were a borderline playoff team in the three seasons with Arthur Smith, and they should now be in play to challenge the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Raheem Morris at the helm and Kirk Cousins behind center.
The NFC South is the weakest division in the league, and the Falcons should definitely fare significantly better with Cousins than they did with Taylor Heinicke and Desmond Ridder.
They have multiple playmakers on offense, and hopefully, Morris will finally get TE Kyle Pitts involved in the passing game and not just as a blocker and a decoy.
Also, they now have a defensive-minded coach to fix their middle-of-the-pack defense.
The table is set for the Falcons to take a huge leap and win some playoff games.
That’s, of course, assuming Kirk Cousins plays much better against contending teams this time around.
