The Atlanta Falcons have spent the past few years trying to build a team that could compete for a Super Bowl ring.
This is a goal for every NFL team, but the Falcons, specifically, have been building their roster strategically.
For the past three seasons, the Falcons have drafted skill-position players in the first round, hoping to find a quarterback who can adequately support them.
They have also added several key members to the defense, improving that unit each season.
After all of this, it seems like the signing of Kirk Cousins as their franchise quarterback was the most logical move for them.
Mina Kimes recently said, “This just makes perfect sense from a football perspective,” in a recent segment of the NFL on ESPN.

Falcons fans seem excited about this deal, and Kimes joins several other analysts in applauding the team for making this move.
Cousins has been a staple of the Minnesota Vikings’ offense for the past few seasons.
While he couldn’t lead them to a Super Bowl, Cousins supported several great players, notably Justin Jefferson, throughout his time with the team.
Now, he has the likes of Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London to throw to, giving him a lot of talent to work with.
With Cousins on the roster, many believe the Falcons can make a run at the division title and perhaps go even further.
If he is healthy, the ceiling for this Falcons team is seemingly limitless, mainly if their defense performs well.
