The Dallas Cowboys had an extra week to prepare for the San Francisco 49ers.
Unfortunately, that didn’t show in their Sunday Night Football matchup against them.
Mike McCarthy’s team showed the very same issues of old on offense, all while their defense continued to struggle against the run.
With that in mind, former NFL players Dan Orlovsky and Damien Woody ripped them on ESPN’s “Get Up.”
Orlovsky called the Cowboys’ offense “boring to watch on tape” and archaic, calling them out for not mixing things up and just running the same old, classic, and predictable routes and plays.
.@danorlovsky7 didn't mince words on the Dallas Cowboys' offense ?
"This offense cannot win and play well in meaningful games. It's like staring at theme paper. … It's archaic. It's stuck in time." pic.twitter.com/dnRNxg3Vkx

He’s not satisfied with what Brian Schottenheimer has done as their offensive coordinator, and he thinks they’re just not going to win any meaningful games if they continue to run this kind of offense.
Woody, on the other hand, ripped the coaching staff for not making the most of the bye week to make any sort of adjustments, as they were pretty much the same team they’ve been all season.
He’s also worried about all the money they’ve committed to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, as they don’t have that much more to spread around the rest of the roster.
At the end of the day, this isn’t particularly a surprise.
This team took a questionable approach to the offseason, and you can’t expect different results by doing the same things over and over.
The Cowboys still have a chance to make the playoffs, mathematically speaking, but they don’t look like a playoff team right now.
