Every year, the Dallas Cowboys enter the NFL season with plenty of hope, but not many people seem to take them seriously.
Dak Prescott has had his fair share of struggles over the past couple of years, and HC Mike McCarthy also has a history of not being up to the task in must-win situations, so it’s easy to understand why some people are skeptical.
Even so, the Cowboys have looked like a legit Super Bowl contender early in the season, up to the point where former NFL player Dan Orlovsky believes they’re actually the best team in the league right now, via “First Take.”

The former quarterback stated that he doesn’t know if the Cowboys will trail by 10 points at all this season.
He believes no other team has an offense that’s explosive enough to put up a lot of points vs. their elite defense.
More than that, he thinks Prescott is playing his best football since his rookie season, praising McCarthy for keeping him efficient and staying ahead of everything by taking care of play-calling.
The Cowboys have yet to play a contending team, and people will continue to doubt them until that happens.
But they’ve done an outstanding job against the rivals they’ve had in front of them, making a statement and looking like a legit unit, especially on defense.
Who knows?
This might finally be the year the Cowboys go back to their winning ways; it’s been a while since that happened.
