There was a time when it felt that Damian Lillard and Patrick Beverley were consistently bumping heads.
When they played for different teams in the NBA, these two were not on friendly terms with one another and had multiple run-ins that almost turned physical.
Now, they are both suiting up for the Milwaukee Bucks and seem to be getting along quite well.
In fact, Lillard recently posted an Instagram story that featured both him and Beverley having fun on the floor together.
According to Ballislife on Twitter, Lillard’s caption said: “Me and Pat Bev. You would have never thought.”

Beverley has played all over the NBA during his 11 years and he has certainly ruffled some feathers and gotten under other peoples’ skin.
He doesn’t always work well with opposing players because of his hot head and confrontational attitude.
However, Beverley can also bring a lot to a team.
His stat line doesn’t always reflect it, but Beverley can bring a roster together and inspire and lead.
He is a great example of someone who can unite a locker room and this is partly why he and Lillard are getting along.
Over previous seasons, the two players have had heated words on the court, sometimes even being separated during games because the trash-talking has become so intense.
When Beverley first came over to the Bucks, he admitted that he’d have to work through his past with Lillard.
It was all for the greater good, he claimed, because the Bucks have a legitimate chance of reaching the NBA Finals if they come together and play as a unified unit.
So far, Beverley has averaged 6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.
He might not be setting the scoreboard on fire every night, but he has clearly become an important part of the team’s culture.
