The Dallas Cowboys come into their Week 9 matchup on the road against the Atlanta Falcons fresh off devastating losses to arguably the best team in the NFL, the Detroit Lions, and the rival San Francisco 49ers.
The 2024 campaign has not gone as anticipated for Dallas, with Mike McCarthy’s squad dealing with several injuries on the defensive side of the football, which has changed how the team plays, as it is nowhere near as successful as it was this time last season.
The significant loss for the Cowboys on that side of the ball has been pass rusher Micah Parsons, who has played four of the seven games so far and will now miss another.

Bland, an All-Pro selection last season, has not played at all this year because of a foot injury.
The Falcons are a force to be reckoned with, especially on offense, with quarterback Kirk Cousins looking like he’s found the fountain of youth after tearing his Achilles last season.
With Atlanta a formidable opponent, it could be another long day for the Dallas defense now that Parsons and Bland have been ruled out for another game.
