There’s a reason some backup quarterbacks stick around in the NFL for so long, even when they don’t show the ability to potentially be a good starting QB when they get the opportunity to play.
It’s because they are great at seeing the field and breaking down everything that goes on within each play.
Because of that, many of them make for solid analysts in the media, and one former backup QB recently said that what he has seen so far has led him to have “no faith” in the Dallas Cowboys.
“They just aren’t a good team,” Chase Daniel said on “The Facility.”

Daniel said that a win against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9 wouldn’t do anything to restore any faith in the team.
He also was skeptical of owner Jerry Jones’ offseason comments about his team being all in to win the Super Bowl, based on the lack of significant additions.
“You signed a long snapper, bro,” Daniel said. “… How are they all in with a long snapper?”
The Cowboys did give huge contract extensions to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to solidify the foundation of the offense. However, the running game has been nonexistent since losing Tony Pollard as a free agent, and the defense has taken a huge step back this season.
Dallas faces a tough upcoming schedule over the next month, with the trip to Atlanta followed by games against the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans and Washington Commanders.
