Dallas Cowboys veteran running back Ronald Jones is facing a two-game suspension for reportedly violating the league’s PED policy.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB signed a one-year deal a month ago and can continue to practice during training camp and even play in the preseason, but he will still be suspended for the first two games of the regular season and will be eligible to be reinstated the next day after their game with the New York Jets.
With that in mind, the veteran took to Twitter to make it loud and clear that he didn’t knowingly take those PEDs, stating that he would investigate with his team which banned substance he took.

He’s coming off a season of just 17 carries in six appearances for the Kansas City Chiefs, logging 70 yards and one score with the reigning champions.
The Cowboys brought him in to provide more experience to a rather unproven RB room.
Besides lead back Tony Pollard, they only have Rico Dowdle, Malik Davis, and rookie Deuce Vaughn there, so Jones could’ve been primed for a major role in Mike McCarthy’s offense, at least early in the season, as they’re expected to be quite a run-heavy team.
This could still be the case, but Jones will have to wait for at least the first couple of games of the campaign to prove his worth and demonstrate that he can still be an efficient pass-catching back and the guy they need to change the pace on third downs.
