The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the most discussed teams throughout the NFL’s offseason.
After losing in the divisional round of the playoffs, there is constant debate about what this team’s biggest problems are.
While some have pointed to the coaching, cultural issues, or simply not having the right players on the field, others have placed the blame on Dak Prescott.
In a segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, Joy Taylor asked a few questions about the current state of the Cowboys, namely revolving around Prescott.
“Should Dak Prescott be the second-best quarterback in the NFC?” asked Taylor.
“Should Dak Prescott be the 2nd best QB in the NFC? Yes. Should he be the most experienced? Should he have the most football intellect? Should, should, should, should, should, yes but why aren’t we saying he does?" — @JoyTaylorTalks pic.twitter.com/82MBXxCnPa

She responded yes to her question, asking a few more ‘should’ style questions.
However, she ended her questioning with “Should, yes, but why aren’t we saying he does?”
Prescott has been the Cowboys’ starting quarterback since 2016.
While his career has been up and down over the past few years, which has included a few injury concerns, Taylor believes that he should be better.
The NFC is widely viewed as the weaker of the two conferences, particularly due to the lack of star power at the quarterback position.
Taylor believes that, on paper, Prescott could be the second-best quarterback in the NFC, presumably behind divisional rival Jalen Hurts.
But, given his lack of deep postseason runs, it appears that Taylor is looking for quite a bit more from Prescott moving forward.
If the Cowboys aren’t able to make it to the NFC Championship at minimum, more questions will be asked during the 2024 offseason.
Prescott is on the hot seat ahead of the 2023 season.
Can he deliver a turnaround campaign for the Cowboys?
