The Dallas Cowboys will head into the 2023 NFL season with arguably one of the best, if not the best, defenses in the league, with Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs being a big part of the team’s success over the last couple of seasons.
America’s Team will be led by rising stars Micah Parsons and Diggs on the defensive side of the football as the team tries to take advantage of a weak NFC during the 2023 campaign.
Although Diggs recently wasn’t happy about his Madden 24 rating, as he made clear on social media, the 24-year-old star is almost undoubtedly happy about what went down this week in Dallas.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Cowboys and Diggs have agreed to terms on a five-year deal worth nearly $100 million.
The #Cowboys and two-time Pro Bowl CB Trevon Diggs are finalizing a five-year, $97 million contract extension, per sources.

Diggs has only played in three seasons for the Cowboys, but he’s already made a huge impression on the team and amongst his peers around the league, as he’s arguably among the league’s elite corners already.
The brother of Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been named a Pro Bowler each of the last two seasons and earned All-Pro honors for his incredible performance in 2021 when he recorded 11 interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
Although Diggs is coming off a season in which he only recorded three interceptions, he’s definitely made a name for himself as an elite corner that has opposing quarterbacks thinking twice about throwing in his direction, which obviously helps the defense as a whole.
It’ll be interesting to see if Diggs can take it to another level in 2023 after signing this deal and help the Cowboys finally reach the Super Bowl for the first time since 1995.
