The Las Vegas Raiders have plenty of issues they need to fix with their current team.
One of the issues is the head coach.
Josh McDaniels is in his first year as head coach of the Raiders.
But, his team is one of the worst in the NFL.
Las Vegas has a record of 2-7 through nine games and they continue to lose close games.
But, losing to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday is inexcusable.
Interim head coach Jeff Saturday was making his coaching debut and was able to outcoach McDaniels in the game.
It might be time for the Raiders’ front office to start thinking about a coaching change.
The hot name on the coaching market at the end of the season will be Sean Payton.
Sean Payton needed to recharge.
He loves his current media gig, but he is under no illusions about his eventual future, he tells @jeffphowe.
“I do think at some point I’ll coach again."
But when he does, it will be on his terms.https://t.co/6XCRCGnBQF pic.twitter.com/iwyugHry1I

The former New Orleans Saints coach is expected to return to coaching next season.
It is just a matter of where he wants to go.
Would Payton Join The Raiders?
There are a few things about the Raiders that could entice Payton.
For one they have a stable quarterback in Derek Carr.
But, if Payton wants a new quarterback to work with, the Raiders will have a top draft pick.
Also, the weapons on offense in Las Vegas are very good.
Their pass catchers include Davante Adams, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow.
Also, they have Josh Jacobs as running back who they could re-sign next season.
Coaching the Raiders and living in Las Vegas would be something that Payton would have to like as well.
Another big city team that plays indoors, just like he had with the Saints.
If the Raiders do indeed move on from McDaniels, their next call should be to Payton to gauge his interest.

blimey! says
As a Raiders fan, I’d be delighted to have Sean Payton over-seeing the rebuild, Heck! at this point anyone but McDaniels!!
But I just can’t imagine Sean taking over such a huge task of turning around a Raiders franchise that has repeatedly been snake-bit, screwed over by the NFL and shooting itself in the foot for 20+ years.
