The Washington Commanders are in the midst of an unprecedented 2025 NFL Playoff run as they beat the Detroit Lions to advance to the NFC Championship Game.
The Commanders have been underdogs in both their postseason games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Lions, but they continue to defy the odds.
Washington’s offense has been able to close the gap against more experienced teams, with Jayden Daniels showing the league that he’s no ordinary rookie.
Daniels and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury are a match made in heaven.
The two seem to always be on the same page and the results are often in the Commanders’ favor.
However, they could face some tough sledding moving forward as Washington will likely be without starting guard Sam Cosmi for the remainder of the postseason via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The injury on the field didn’t look very promising for Cosmi, a foundational piece of the Commanders’ offensive line.
While Washington was able to get be without Cosmi, they could be in far more trouble as they’ll take on either the Philadelphia Eagles or Los Angeles Rams, who boast fearsome pass rush units.
For now, though, the team should be worried about Cosmi’s health, given the severity of his injury.
