The Washington Commanders’ Cinderella run through the 2024-25 NFL season is no longer just a fun little story of a scrappy underdog outperforming expectations.
This team has now graduated to a legitimate threat to win it all after thrashing the NFC’s No. 1 seed.
On Saturday night, they shocked the football world by defeating the 15-2 Detroit Lions 45-31, advancing to the NFC Championship game for the first time in 33 years.
After the game, head coach Dan Quinn fired up his locker room with a speech and sent three simple words out for the rest of the league to let everyone know they are ready for “Anybody. Anywhere. Anytime.”

Quinn is on the verge of reaching his second Super Bowl as head coach and now awaits the winner of the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles game to see where the team will be traveling next.
The Lions were heavy favorites to win the NFC and reach their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
However, Washington punched them square in the mouth and collected five turnovers en route to ruining the best season in Detroit’s franchise history.
Washington proved that it truly is ready for anybody, anywhere, anytime, and has now pulled off consecutive playoff victories on the road with a rookie quarterback.
That was unfathomable heading into this season regardless of how excited the organization and its fanbase were to land Jayden Daniels in the draft.
Whether it’s the Eagles or Rams hosting this team in the NFC Championship, they cannot take this Commanders team lightly.
