Will the Washington Commanders change ownership, given the pressure on Dan Snyder?
There have been several instances that could have led to his ouster.
Allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct in their workplace should be enough grounds to force the Commanders’ sale.
There’s also the alleged accounting issue of keeping two books to hide some revenue from the NFL.
Likewise, a recent article by ESPN had incriminating information about Snyder, especially his penchant for hiring private investigators to dig dirt against fellow team owners, league executives, and Commissioner Roger Goodell.
He allegedly used the same tactic to scare former employees from participating in the investigation of their toxic workplace culture by Washington D.C. lawyer Beth Wilkinson.
But despite these details, the Commanders are in denial about those pieces of information.
From a Commanders spokesperson on the new report:
"It’s hard to imagine a piece that is more categorically untrue, and is clearly part of a well-funded, two-year misinformation campaign to coerce the sale of the team, which will continue to be unsuccessful."

The Athletic’s Ben Standig tweeted, “From a Commanders spokesperson on the new report: ‘It’s hard to imagine a piece that is more categorically untrue, and is clearly part of a well-funded, two-year misinformation campaign to coerce the sale of the team, which will continue to be unsuccessful.'”
NFL owners can vote Snyder out by getting 24 out of 32 votes.
But as the ESPN article said, Snyder will not go down without a fight and will not even accept the decision if teams voted for his ouster.
Snyder’s Act Of Desperation
It remains to be seen if Snyder is telling the truth or if he doesn’t have anything at all.
There’s a chance he could be bluffing, knowing that his NFL end is possibly near.
As the ESPN article said, “He is acting like a mad dog being cornered.”
Reports reveal that Goodell wants him out, though he hasn’t actively worked on his ouster.
