The Indianapolis Colts are on the hunt for a new head coach.
It appears that interim coach, and former player Jeff Saturday was not their long-term answer, and are now beginning interviews for their next coach.
It’s not often that an owner is the one to break news to the media, but Colts owner Jim Irsay, took to Twitter yesterday to announce one of their candidates.
Just completed our interview with Eric Bieniemy 🏈💪

The Colts interviewed Eric Bieniemy last night, the current offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bieniemy has been interviewed for head coaching gigs for the past few offseasons but has always ultimately gone back to the Chiefs.
Will the Colts job entice him enough to leave Kansas City?
The Colts have a relatively young team besides their current quarterback Matt Ryan.
Ryan was an offseason addition to the Colts, but the front office has expressed their disinterest in Ryan as their long-term answer at quarterback.
However, with the strength of their offensive line, and the weapons they have at their disposal on the offensive side of the ball, the Colts could return to success in 2023, providing a new quarterback to run their system.
Whether they attack the quarterback position through free agency or the draft remains to be seen.
Bieniemy has helped Patrick Mahomes lead the Chiefs’ offense to new heights, and has been recognized as one of the league’s best offensive coordinators.
He has never been a head coach in the NFL, but his ten-plus years of NFL experience seem to prove worthy of at least an interview for a head coaching position.
