The Indianapolis Colts are having a busy offseason just a couple of days removed from a loss to the Houston Texans in Week 18.
Jeff Saturday took over as interim head coach after Frank Reich was fired.
Matt Ryan was benched for Sam Ehlinger and Nick Foles as the quarterback carousel continues to spin in Indianapolis.
So, who do the Colts have in mind as head coach?
It appears just about everybody.
Los Angeles Rams DC Raheem Morris is one, as is Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
And there’s another name that has popped up.
The #Colts are interviewing special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone for their head coaching job today, per source.

The Colts are interviewing special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone, according to Tom Pelissero.
Ventrone is a lesser-known name around the league but a popular one in Indianapolis.
Ventrone is just 40 years old and began his coaching career with the New England Patriots as the assistant special teams coach from 2015 to 2017.
He has been with the Colts since 2018 as special teams coach, so he has survived and dealt with a ton of situations in Indianapolis.
When Reich was fired, some in the locker room even thought that Ventrone was going to get the interim job.
Interesting. Bubba Ventrone has a ton of support in the locker room. Some players were shocked when he didn’t get the interim job. https://t.co/CuTzAdEt91

So, there you have it.
This might not be the splashy hire that fans are looking for, but maybe it’s a smart choice, especially with the locker room and the members of the Colts organization.
The Colts are holding a wide search for the new head coach, and Saturday is still an option, but don’t be surprised if Ventrone gets a long, hard look at the position.
