The Chicago Bears dropped their seventh game in a row on Sunday, getting completely demolished 38-13 by the San Francisco 49ers.
Chicago’s offense was non-existent early in the game.
It generated just four total yards in the first half to dig an insurmountable 24-0 deficit, which was not the start Bears fans were hoping for after firing head coach Matt Eberflus last week.
Colin Cowherd believes Mike Vrabel would be the perfect coach for this team.
On Monday morning’s episode of “The Colin Cowherd Podcast,” he said, “You need a culture change. They’re just running through coaches, and they’re getting no bounds. Vrabel has the physical element that Dan Campbell and (Jim) Harbaugh have. They’re kind of physically intimidating. It’s not the schematic geniuses. You gotta change the culture.”

After firing a coach, the hope was that the whole team would come together and show a renewed sense of urgency and fight, but the Bears did the opposite and looked more lifeless than ever on both sides of the ball against the Niners.
There was some excitement about Thomas Brown taking over as the interim coach, but his tenure couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start.
Vrabel will be a highly-coveted coach in the offseason by just about every team that needs one, and the Bears are an intriguing option despite all the losses.
Chicago has a big market, a No. 1 overall selection franchise rookie quarterback, and plenty of solid young pieces at skill positions and on defense.
Bears fans would certainly love to have Vrabel leading the ship, and we’ll see if they make a run at him in the offseason.
