Cole Anthony is getting comfortable with his new team, the Milwaukee Bucks.
They won’t play a regular season game for a few months, but Anthony has already made some choices about 2025-26.
For starters, he knows what number he will wear in the new year.
According to Etienne Catalan, Anthony will wear No. 50 for the Bucks.
This is the number Anthony has donned all of his career, and was last worn on the Bucks by Bonzie Colson in 2019.
Ironically, Anthony’s own father, Greg, wore No. 50 for the Bucks in 2002.

2024-25 was Anthony’s final season with the Orlando Magic, and it definitely left a lot to be desired.
Anthony averaged career-lows of 9.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
He also only played in 67 games, starting in 22 of them.
It became apparent that Anthony’s time in Orlando was likely coming to an end, so no one was surprised when he was traded.
He was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies but then quickly signed a deal with the Bucks.
He is coming to Milwaukee at a very important time for the team.
They are attempting to climb higher in the Eastern Conference standings, and went to great lengths to make that happen.
In a shocking move, they parted ways with Damian Lillard.
They also acquired Myles Turner, who just played in the NBA Finals with the Indiana Pacers.
The Bucks clearly want to win a lot in 2025-26, and they hope to keep their biggest player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, happy.
If Anthony isn’t able to contribute a lot, right away, he will likely only have a short stay in Milwaukee.
The team is aiming high, and they will accept nothing short of success this year.
