The Detroit Lions’ season has come to an end.
And with that, so has Ben Johnson’s tenure with the organization.
It seems like it’s just a matter of time before the Lions’ offensive coordinator lands himself a head coaching position.
Considering that, Chris Simms argued that he should take the Chicago Bears’ job.
When interviewed by Kay Adams on her “Up & Adams” show, he stated that Chicago’s roster made the most sense for his expertise.
Where should Ben Johnson go?

Truth be told, he might be right on point.
The Bears need someone who can take their underperforming offense to the next level.
There were so many conceptual and fundamental breakdowns in Chicago last season.
Also, they need someone who can develop and polish their franchise quarterback, and it’s hard to think of a better guy among the current candidates for the job than Johnson.
Johnson constantly put Jared Goff in a position to succeed, and while the Bears don’t have David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, he could replicate some version of his strong running game there.
Needless to say, they also need to revamp their subpar offensive line to have some sort of success next season.
Johnson is more than familiar with the NFC North Division, and that’s also another factor that makes this a logical partnership for both parties.
The Bears cannot afford to swing and miss with their new head coach.
If Johnson proves to be as good a head coach as he is a coordinator, he could finally turn around this struggling franchise.
