The Golden State Warriors knew what they were getting into when they traded for Chris Paul.
Paul’s reputation preceded him, not only for what he’s able to do on the court but also because of his work with the National Basketball Players Association.
Paul served as the President of the NBPA for eight years, so he knows firsthand what it takes to appease and please his colleagues.
With that in mind, Draymond Green asked him whether there was a chance he would become the next executive director for the NBPA once his playing days were over (via The Volume).
Notably, Paul claimed that there was absolutely no chance he would do so, although he did add that he would be just one phone call away from the players or whoever needed him.
Chris Paul as the future executive director of the NBPA?

Paul spent eight years in the job, so he might be exhausted already, and he could be looking forward to just relaxing and enjoying his free time and money once he’s ready to ride into the sunset.
Unfortunately for the fans, that moment isn’t as far ahead as we’d like.
Paul is already 38 years old and has struggled with injuries over the past four years or so, this season included.
Also, his final chance to win an NBA championship might not even come to fruition, as the Warriors have struggled mightily this season.
Even if they turn things around, he’s been tangled up in trade rumors all year long, so he might not even be a part of the team by the end of the campaign.
