Chris Paul is already 38 years old, and not many NBA players are able to continue playing at a high level — or at all — at that age.
While he hasn’t shown any signs or desire to walk away from the game, Paul knows he’s not getting any younger and might not have many more years on the court.
With that in mind, his teammate, Draymond Green, asked him about his plans for retirement (via The Volume).
“I definitely wanna be in an ownership group,” Paul said.

The future Hall of Famer didn’t hesitate to admit his desire to become a team owner in the future.
He talked about his experience with the NBPA and how he’s been a part of CBA negotiations.
Also, he’s played with plenty of teams, so he knows how to tell between a losing organization and a winning one, and the same goes for a locker room.
Paul also talked about how he’s diversified his portfolio and ‘can’t sit still,’ adding that being a team owner would allow him to make a big impact on that organization.
Chris Paul is one of the greatest players to ever lace them up, but the only thing people continue to hold against him is his lack of an NBA championship.
Even his biggest critics know he deserves one and would like to see him accomplish this.
But if that never happens as an active player, perhaps he’ll finally be able to pull it off as an owner.
