For many years, Chris Paul and Draymond Green didn’t care for one another and were major rivals in the NBA.
Now, they not only play together for the Golden State Warriors but they actually seem to genuinely like each other too.
Speaking to NBC Sports, Paul opened up about the impact that Green has on the team and said he deserves more credit.
“It’s a lot of things that Draymond does that don’t show up on the stat sheet,” Paul claimed.

For the season, Green has averaged 9.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 6 assists on 50.6% from the floor and 44.6% from the three-point line.
On the surface, those numbers might not look amazing but Green does a lot more than simply earn those stats.
As Paul mentioned, Green is a vital part of the team, especially when it comes to defense.
Even though he is smaller than many other forwards and centers in the league, Green is still able to compete with other big men.
And he is sometimes central to steals and blocks, even if he doesn’t get credit for them.
Green is also a crucial part of the team’s chemistry and DNA, as he has been for years.
Therefore, it’s not surprising that the Warriors started to do much better after Green returned from his recent lengthy suspension.
He is putting up 8.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game in the 19 games since his return.
The Warriors have turned things around during that time, partly because of the way that Green inspires and leads the rest of the roster.
Now that Paul has worked closely with Green, he sees all that he does for the Warriors and wants others to see it too.
