The Kansas City Chiefs needed to fill a glaring hole after All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill was sent to the Miami Dolphins.
The Super Bowl LIV champions are confident that moving on from “Cheetah” won’t be an issue in their quest for more titles.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling and JuJu Smith-Schuster are both nice additions to their receiving corps.
Adding Mecole Hardman to the mix gives them an intriguing wideout trio.
But even with those additions, the Chiefs do not have a legitimate deep threat.
Undrafted rookie Justyn Ross could be their guy and he will play with a chip on his shoulder.
#Chiefs rookie WR Justyn Ross told reporters that he feels good and is ready to prove everyone wrong after going undrafted. He says he chose Kansas City because of Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.
Can't blame him.

Pro Football Focus writer Ari Meirov tweeted, “#Chiefs rookie WR Justyn Ross told reporters that he feels good and is ready to prove everyone wrong after going undrafted. He says he chose Kansas City because of Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. Can’t blame him.”
Ross won’t go wrong in choosing Mahomes because Kansas City has had double-digit winning seasons since he was drafted in 2017.
That fact also means that he also had double-digit winning seasons since he became the team’s starter in 2018.
Meanwhile, Reid has had only three losing seasons throughout his coaching career.
Since joining the Chiefs in 2013, the team had only one season of fewer than 10 wins.
Therefore, Ross selected the right combination to help him succeed.
What Does Ross Bring To The Table?
Being undrafted alone gives him much to prove in his NFL journey.
But he would also like to address his dwindling production in college, which could be part of the reason no team took him.
He had 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his first season with the Clemson Tigers.
By his last season, he had 524 yards and three touchdowns.
Ross would like to set the record straight by showing that he belongs in the pros.
