Missouri is not the Kansas City Chiefs‘ original location.
Businessman Lamar Hunt founded the team in 1960 as the Dallas Texans in the American Football League.
Three years later, the team transferred to Kansas City and won AFL championships in 1966 and 1969.
The team joined the National Football League during the 1970 merger and played its home games at Arrowhead Stadium since 1972.
Attending a Chiefs game is like experiencing a college football atmosphere.
Everyone is wearing the same colors and doing the same chants to cheer on their beloved team.
They can also make noise to disrupt the opposing team’s cadence.
Throughout their stay in Kansas City, the Chiefs have won Super Bowls IV and LIV.
Their current roster can add more trophies to their collection, thanks to quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce.
However, the Chiefs’ love affair with Kansas City might end soon, as The Ringer’s Kevin Clark revealed.
Chiefs prez Mark Donovan, when asked this AM about potential new stadium options, said the team has considered options in state of Kansas. They like Arrowhead and legacy of Lamar Hunt’s stadium, but have been pitched by Kansas developers on a bunch of options. Something to watch.

Nearby Relocation For The Chiefs?
For the record, Kansas City and the state of Kansas are adjacent but different locations.
If the relocation pushes through, then die-hard Chiefs fans won’t have to travel too far to watch their team.
However, no one can confirm for now if the transfer is true or if it is gaining ground.
Could they end up becoming the Kansas Chiefs?
