The Kansas City Chiefs have an easy game plan on offense: surround Patrick Mahomes with as much talent as possible.
After tinkering with their offensive line last season, their mission is to upgrade their receiving corps to also ease some burden off Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.
That said, the team re-signed Josh Gordon and brought in JuJu Smith-Schuster on a one-year, $10.75 million deal.
The Chiefs also brought in former first-round draft pick Corey Coleman in hopes of reviving his career.
But while the Chiefs are acquiring top talent, they might also lose a receiver, as ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed.
Chiefs’ free-agent WR Demarcus Robinson is meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders, per source.

Schefter said, “Chiefs’ free-agent WR Demarcus Robinson is meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders, per source.”
With all the talent Kansas City has amassed, it wouldn’t hurt to lose Robinson.
Aside from the names mentioned earlier, the Chiefs still have Hill and Mecole Hardman.
However, the Raiders will benefit from having Robinson after losing Zay Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Henry Ruggs III to a prison sentence.
A New Offense In Las Vegas
Head coach Josh McDaniels is looking to use an offense that will revolve around double tight end sets and play-action.
That said, expect quarterback Derek Carr‘s numbers to rise under the new system.
But the plan won’t work if they don’t have solid receivers.
That’s what they addressed when they acquired Davante Adams to line up with Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow.
Robinson may come in as a second-string receiver who can give their starters some time off.
In 2021, Robinson had 25 receptions for 264 yards and three touchdowns.
His best game was during the Wild Card Playoff against the Pittsburgh Steelers wherein he had four catches for 76 yards.
The 27-year-old Robinson played his first five seasons with the Chiefs and was part of the team that won Super Bowl LIV.
