NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that linebacker Jack Cochrane is heading to Injured Reserve, while tight end Peyton Hendershot gets the green light to return to practice following his calf injury.

Hendershot, who’s been out of action since the November 24th thriller against the Carolina Panthers, had made his mark with three receptions for 26 yards before the injury sidelined him.
The news isn’t as positive for Jack Cochrane, whose weekend took a painful turn when he suffered a severe ankle injury during Kansas City’s opening kick return against the Texans.
Though initially marked as questionable, he was ruled out before halftime. Coach Andy Reid confirmed that Cochrane sustained an ankle fracture, in a post-game update.
The injury likely spells the end of his season, a tough break for the linebacker who had racked up five tackles while appearing in all 15 of Kansas City’s games this year.
The Chiefs now have their sights set on improving to 15-1 with a holiday victory, which could secure them the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
