After a disappointing 2023 NFL season, which resulted in the firing of head coach Brandon Staley, the Los Angeles Chargers are starting fresh with new head coach Jim Harbaugh, formerly of the University of Michigan.
With Harbaugh now in the fold in Los Angeles, the franchise is going through some inevitable changes to the coaching staff and the roster, with the Chargers potentially ready to shake things up with some trades this offseason.
Apparently, the team is open to parting ways with some of its best players on both sides of the football, with Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack, Mike Williams, and Keenan Allen on the trading block in Los Angeles.
According to Albert Breer of MMQB, the Chargers are trying to deal with their difficult cap situation in order to upgrade the roster, which is why so many big-name players are available, including wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
The Chargers have had exploratory trade talks on OLBs Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack (as @DMRussini said), and WRs Mike Williams and Keenan Allen. Allen appears to be least likely to be moved, but they're listening on all of them.
It all, of course, relates to their cap situation.

Even though Harbaugh wants to compete right out of the gate, it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to do so because losing some of these players in trades could be costly to this team’s performance on both sides of the football.
However, the team might be able to accumulate draft picks and bring in some talented young players, so Harbaugh can mold the team the way he wants while paying rookie salaries rather than the salaries of superstars.
Only time will tell if the Chargers can move these players and what they’ll get in return, but it would be safe to assume they’ll want to get them moved before the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft if the goal is to bring in draft assets.
