San Antonio Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama has largely lived up to the massive hype surrounding him this season, and it has left everyone wondering just how great he will ultimately be once he reaches his prime.
But his prime is several years away, and in a short amount of time, he could already be a legitimate superstar while still having lots of room for improvement.
Former NBA player Chandler Parsons feels Wembanyama could achieve something close to superstardom as soon as next season, as he said the 20-year-old will be a top-15 player in the NBA by then, per Run It Back.
“Next year I think [Victor Wembanyama] is going to be top 15,” Parsons said.

The French native is averaging 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and a league-high 3.2 blocked shots a game so far this season.
Since the start of the new calendar year, he has picked up his scoring average and his shooting efficiency, and it is scary to think how much better he will be in just two or three years.
His offensive skill set is still somewhat rudimentary right now, but an improved low post-game and 3-point shot would make him something close to unguardable because of his 7-foot-4 frame and a wingspan of about eight feet.
The Spurs have been terrible this season despite Wembanyama’s production, but the fact that they currently have the Western Conference’s worst record could earn them a very high pick in this June’s draft.
That would mean an opportunity to draft a man who could end up being Wembanyama’s co-star for many years to come.
