Although they are still the best team in the NBA, the hits keep on coming for the Boston Celtics.
Not only did they lose to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night, but they also suffered another injury to a pivotal star.
In the second quarter of the game, Derrick White made contact with Bucks star Grayson Allen.
The hit to the head from Allen didn’t look too bad at first but White immediately grabbed his ear and was obviously in pain.
He continued to play for the rest of the game and scored 27 points and 12 assists.

But the extent of his ear injury became more clear following the game when it was announced that White would stay behind in Milwaukee to see an ear specialist.
The Celtics revealed he was having trouble hearing out of his ear so he would see the doctor while the rest of the team headed back to Boston.
More details about White will be known soon but it seems likely that he won’t play in the next game, meaning the Celtics will be even more short-handed.
The Celtics are already without Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart.
While some of those players may be back soon, some of them may be out for an extended amount of time.
The Celtics are losing players as the competition inches closer to them.
The Bucks are just a half-game behind them in the standings.
Thankfully for the Celtics, the All-Star break is right around the corner.
They just have to get through the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night and then they will have a whole week off.
They are hoping that gives their injured members enough time to recover and get ready to play.
