The Boston Celtics weren’t able to overcome the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night and lost to their Eastern Conference rivals, 131-125.
It came on a night when the Celtics were short-handed and missing a few of their key players.
That meant that certain athletes who aren’t always able to shine got a lot more time on the floor.
Blake Griffin was just one of them.

Griffin was a starter and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, going 6-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-6 from the three-point line.
This was his highest-scoring game as a Celtic and was a taste of the Grffin that fans used to know.
So far this season, Griffin has been reliable for 4.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in just 13.8 minutes per game.
He has only started in 11 games and has come to be known as a strong but aging bench player.
Even though it didn’t result in a victory, his performance on Tuesday night shows how smart the Celtics were to add him.
The Celtics are a terrific team but their frontcourt has grown unreliable over the last two seasons due to numerous injuries.
Again and again, big men Al Horford and Robert Williams have missed games and Griffin is someone who can step up when the team needs him and produce with both points and attacks at the glass.
Any team will struggle to overcome the Bucks, especially with the way they have been playing lately.
But Griffin’s work on Tuesday shows that he can still impress and produce for the team and should definitely remain on the roster.
